When I reflect on my childhood, I see now—God was there all along. I grew up in a church-going home, but no one ever told me I could know Jesus personally. Still, the Lord found ways to reveal Himself. I saw miracles with no explanation, moments of the supernatural that left a quiet mark on my soul. Years later, at age 32, everything changed. My wife had been praying for me, and after much hesitation, I went to a Men’s Renewal Weekend. That weekend, the Holy Spirit met me in power. I surrendered everything to Jesus and made a vow to follow Him with my whole heart. From then on, I couldn’t get enough of the Word—it shaped how I lived, loved, and led. As a business owner, I witnessed to employees and clients alike. The workplace became a pulpit. God’s call grew stronger, and I enrolled in Bible College, serving faithfully as a Helps Administrator and Altar Minister. Everywhere I went, I saw God move through healing and deliverance. Nancy and I answered the call together, ministering side by side until the Lord birthed our church.
Today, we lead Awakening Church (formerly The River of Life Ministries), ordained under Bishop Bill Hamon and walking in the fullness of the Five-Fold calling. From the sanctuary to the screen, across nations and we are still saying “yes” to the One who called us from the very beginning.
Fifty years ago, I married the love of my life, and together, we raised two daughters and a son. Just two weeks before our son was born, I found myself feeling overwhelmed and alone. It was at a church retreat during that time that I encountered Jesus Christ in a life-changing way—I was born again and filled with the Spirit. That moment sparked a deep hunger to know God more, leading me to study His Word intensely, pursue ministry training at Berean College, and grow in an intimate relationship with the Lord. Over the years, I’ve had the honor of serving in Bible studies, TV and Marketplace Ministry, and global missions. In 2004, what began as a Healing and Deliverance Ministry was transformed by God into a congregation—Awakening Church (formerly The River of Life Ministries). My husband and I, both ordained under Bishop Bill Hamon of Christian International Ministries, are called to operate in the Five-Fold Ministry of Ephesians 4:11–13. Together, we minister at home and abroad, equipping leaders, healing the sick, and advancing the Kingdom.
Today, our children are joyfully married, and we are blessed with nine grandchildren—each one being lovingly raised to continue the legacy of faith and service to the Lord.
I'm a husband and a dad to two amazing kids, and I’ve been part of Awakening Church (formerly known as The River of Life Ministries) since the very beginning. I started out helping with sound and multimedia, and in 2006, I stepped into the role of praise and worship leader—something I never imagined, but something God clearly had in store for me. I’ve loved music since I was a kid, especially playing guitar, but it wasn’t until my early 20s that I began to truly understand God’s purpose for my life. Worship became more than music—it became a way of life. I believe worship is something we do together as a church family, not just something we watch from the sidelines. Every voice matters. Every heart engaged matters.
Romans 12:1 reminds us to offer our lives as living sacrifices, and I believe that’s what true worship is—surrendering ourselves fully to God out of love, honor, and a desire to please Him. I’m just doing my best to walk in obedience, stay surrendered, and keep pressing forward in faith, trusting God to lead the way.
I’m a wife and a proud mother of two, and for as long as I can remember, I’ve had a passion for pouring into the lives of children and youth. Since 1998, I’ve had the privilege of serving in both children’s ministries and youth groups, and I’ve been the Children’s Director at Awakening Church (formerly known as The River of Life Ministries) since our very first service. I am also ordained under Bishop Bill Hamon of Christian International Ministries.
My approach to ministry is rooted in Scripture, and over the years, I’ve developed curriculum that helps children understand and live out the Word of God in a way that’s meaningful and lasting. I love creating ways for kids to engage in worship and ministry, helping them feel at home and fully part of our church family.My heart is to lead by example—with joy, energy, and a genuine love for Jesus. I’m passionate about seeing children grow in the fruits of the Spirit (Galatians 5:22–23), and rise up as overcomers, Spirit-filled leaders, and lights in the world (Matthew 5:13–16). More than anything, I long to see the next generation walking in the full armor of God, with humble hearts, loving one another as Christ loves His Church.
